Brilliant legal mind…
Last month, I had the professional and personal privilege of introducing Jerilyn Dietz to an audience comprised of 60 members of law enforcement and sexual assault victim advocates. She spoke for an hour on the importance of a trauma-informed response in the criminal justice system, sharing her wealth of knowledge and expertise on the subject.
Not only was the audience attentive and engaged throughout her presentation, there was a line of people waiting to speak with her afterwards. This line included people offering their appreciation for her insight as well as people asking additional questions about specific situations. And, perhaps most impressive, this line included one of the other presenters (who was from out of state) asking Jerilyn if she would be interested in presenting at a criminal justice training/conference on the east coast.
Manitowoc County voters, you have the opportunity to put a brilliant legal mind on the bench next April. A woman who is smart, caring, compassionate, fair, conscientious, community-minded, respectful, dedicated…I could go on and on. People around the state and the country are taking notice and you should too. I’ve worked within the criminal justice system for 20 years and assure you that you will not find someone better suited to serve as Judge. – Keeley Crowley
